  6. How To Obtain Disks
  7.  
  8.     First, you may wish to check with your local dealers and user
  9.     groups.  Most already have many of the disks.  Since these disks
  10.     can be copied freely, and widespread distribution is encouraged,
  11.     they propagate out to central distribution points fairly quickly.
  12.     For currently released disks, local sources are often the cheapest
  13.     and quickest way of obtaining a disk you are looking for.

  15.     Anyone is welcome to obtain disks directly from me, and in parti-
  16.     cular, to set up a subscription for future disks (see below).  It
  17.     is the subscribers for future disks that essentially fund contin-
  18.     uing development of disks and ensure the continuance of the library.

  20.     Naturally, you are encouraged to make copies for your friends, local
  21.     user groups, dealers, etc.  My goal is to get as much software as
  22.     possible into the hands of people that can use and enhance it, and
  23.     make the AMIGA the success it deserves to be.

  25. How to Order

  27.     To order, send a list of the disks you want, and payment in U.S.
  28.     funds to:

  35.     The per disk fee as of March 1993 is as follows:
  36.  
  37.         1   to 9 disks        $4 per disk
  38.         10  or more disks    $3 per disk
  39.         complete library    $1 per disk     (see note below)

  41.     The price includes cost of media, mailing materials, and postage
  42.     (except for the "complete library" rate).  Domestic (USA) mail is
  43.     sent first class.  Overseas mail is sent via Air Mail at no addi-
  44.     tional charge.  Time and other jobs permitting, all disks will be
  45.     mailed within 5 days of receipt of order, except for very large
  46.     orders.  Most orders are filled within 3 days.

  48.     If the per disk charge in effect at the time your order is received
  49.     is less than the amount stated above, you will be charged the lower
  50.     rate, and an appropriate credit for the difference added to your
  51.     account.  It is highly unlikely that the per disk charge will be
  52.     higher (it has always decreased, reflecting my decreasing cost for
  53.     disks since beginning distribution of the library).

  55.     Credit card orders are also accepted, either VISA or MasterCard.
  56.     Such orders can be FAX'd to (602) 917-0917 for faster service.

  58. Complete Library Orders
  59.  
  60.     The "complete library" price ($1 per disk) applies only to orders
  61.     of a complete set of all disks in the library at the time of the
  62.     order, and does NOT include shipping.  Use an estimate of 5lbs per
  63.     100 disks to compute shipping charges for the method of your choice
  64.     and include sufficient funds to cover such charges.  Any excess will
  65.     be refunded.  Up to an additional 100 future disks can be preordered
  66.     at the same time as the initial order, for $2 per disk.

  68.     This offer is intended to provide a relatively low startup cost
  69.     for new user groups, dealers, or other users, to obtain a complete
  70.     library set.

  72. Subscriptions
  73.  
  74.     Feel free to order more than the current number of disks available.
  75.     Excess funds will be placed "in escrow" (refundable at any time) 
  76.     and drawn against for automatic mailings of future disks as they 
  77.     become available.  These disks will be charged against your account
  78.     at the per disk charge in effect at the time they are shipped.
  79.     I hope to add at least four to six disks per month to the library.

  81. CD-ROM
  82.  
  83.     The library is moving to CD-ROM distribution.  I will not be 
  84.     producing any floppy disks past disk 1000.  To enquire about
  85.     CD-ROM distributions, write to the above address or send a FAX
  86.     to (602) 917-0917 with your mailing address, and a CD-ROM
  87.     information packet will be sent to you.
